: Up until about a year ago I always heard "..and the bathroom's on the right" instead of "There's a bad moon on the rise" by Creedence.

My earliest was the classic "Return, Lucinda" for "Return to Sender", and to the rest of the world the opening words of "Lover's Concerto" in 1965 were "How gentle is the rain", but I heard them as "Out turtle in the rain", which didn't make much sense, but, OK.
