Jimmy crack corn - from my misty memory

"Jimmy Crack Corn" is, as other say, a song from the slave days. I suspect the singer is a slave in a supervisory role. "Master" has gone away and the singer is indifferent to the fact that Jimmy, who I assume is another slave has cracked open the jug of corn liquor. I rather think they are both drinking master's corn whiskey and frankly, my dear - I don't give a damn.
