the context, it says: :
I've always been wondering about that and hope, you can help me. Thank you! For some reason - why, I can not say - this means to cry for mercy or to admit defeat. It's effectively the same thing as crying 'uncle'. I'd all but forgotten it until I read your post. Perhaps someone else can help with the exact meaning in the song. It seems a bit contradictory to me. |
