: : : Does anyone know the meaning or origin behind the phrase "everything that rises"?

: : : Thank you.

: : I haven't heard it used in a context that would suggest it has a special meaning. The closest thing I know of is the saying "What goes up must come down."

:
: Or the more cryptic recent (?) arrival :
: "What goes round comes round" !
: CJH

That one isn't cryptic here in the U.S. The American version, "What goes around comes around," refers to the way karma operates in the social world. As you treat people, so they will treat you, eventually if not soon.
