: It is an old expression and I would be curious
: to know
where it comes from.
: Does anybody know?
: The usage:
: He made her angry
and she said, "If you don't
: do what I say I will knock you into next week!"
I think it comes from the implication that you'll hit someone so hard as to render them unconscious until some time next week.
