I have walked to hell on earth (experienced very hard times)
I have been to heaven on earth (experienced great happiness)
back again (just means that happiness and hard times came more than once)
into, under, far in between, through it, in it and above... (this, I think, means that the speaker has experienced very many different levels of happiness and unhappiness - has in general experienced all that life has to offer)
