Clapping rhyme

I am looking for the origin of the playground clapping rhyme "A Spade is..." (I remember it from Florida, early 70s.) "A spade is/two hearts in heaven/working together/to bring back my true love to me/What is the meaning/of all the flowers/that tell the story/The story of L/O/V/E/The story of love....

Is this familiar to anyone? Searches of clapping and game sites haven't yielded anything so far.
