Sod's alphabet?

Posted by TheFallen on September 19, 2002

20 or so years ago, I vaguely remember discussing something that a friend of mine assured me was called the "Sod's Alphabet". It definitely started off with:-

A for 'orses.
B for lamb.

...but, although a few of those present knew these two, nobody knew any of the rest - or even if any more actually exist. We did come up with "F for vescent", "T for brushed" and "X for omelettes", but these were invented on the spot, rather than being part of any original. Does anyone have any more information about the Sod's Alphabet? It sounds like it might well come from the area of British music-hall comedy, but this is pure guesswork.
