Searching for my golden fiddle?

Someone recently told me they were searching for their golden fiddle...does anyone know what that means? The context of the coversion was about where they lived...he told me where he lived and then he said he's searching for his golden fiddle. We got interrupted by someone else and I never got the chance to ask what that expression meant. Does anyone have an idea what this guy was talking about?
