: INDOOR LIFE -- Phrase used in a news story (Louisville Courier Journal, Nov. 29, 2001) about a Kentucky woman who was murdered after she filed sexual harassment charges against her former boss. He has been charged with killing her. A coworker, describing "crude talk" and inappropriate behavior in the office, said: "He would sit us down and make us talk about the details of our indoor life."
: It sounds like "indoor life" refers to matters sexual. Has anyone heard that term?
I haven't heard that one before but there's a 'er indoors' term used here in the UK, referring to 'the wife'.
