There is a good description of the latin term in "The Tragic Sence of Life" by Miquel de Unamuno. There's an english trslation. I think it means to love your fate- that which you have. Sometimes that's hard to do. The more I think about it I think it means to also look forward to death in a tibetan buddhist way since that is surely our fate.
