"loose change"

Hello,
do you maybe know the meaning of the idiom "loose change"? If yes, please send it to me.
Thanks,
Svetlana

"Loose change" means a small amount of money. A man keeps his "folding money," dollar bills, etc., in his wallet. When he buys something -- for example a 80 cent item -- and pays with a dollar bill, he gets back change. He just sticks those coins in his pocket. Loose change.
