any ideas about the derivation or origin of the expression "to go on the spree"
I know that there are two Scottish bagpipe tunes called "The Big Spree" and "The Little Spree"
and there is a Scottish folk song about "McGinty's meal and ale (a kind of party), where the pig
went on the spree"
