of reasonably artful phrases of fault-finding, disparagement, low
appraisal, and so forth. I would like something that avoids the
purely boorish or vulgar. Vitpuperation might be alright - it would
be a fine line, though. Know of anything? Thank you.
Somewhere here I have a book of nasty phrases. The title is something
like, The (insert number) Nastiest Things Anybody Ever Said. It's
a little book along the lines of "The Portable Curmudgeon." If I
find it, I'll post the exact title.
