: Where did the term bood, sweat and tear come from?
The phrase "blood, toil tears and sweat" is from a famous Second
World War speech by Winston Churchill. The phrase is often shortened
to "blood, sweat, and tears," possibly because the bodily-fluids
theme
makes it more memorable.
