What does it mean? There are several Jesse/Jessies in one reference. Jesse = bluff or threat (outlaw Jesse James). Jessie = male homosexual or ineffectual person. Jessie = red-headed girl or woman. "Cassell's Dictionary of Slang" by Jonathon Green (Wellington House, London, 1998). Page 661.
