: That's about right. Give over is quite friendly though, meaning 'please stop that'.
: Here in Yorkshire the locals use 'give up', meaning the same thing.

: PS Just for George Bush: Yorkshire is in England - part of the small green islands to the north of France.
PPS Sadly, while George W. Bush actully knows where Canada is, that's all he knows about the country.
