One small step for man, one giant leap for mankindPosted by Wkw on September 04, 2000 Actually there is an 'a' (the article) missing prior to the word 'man' as Neil Armstrong said it. It was accidentally cut out or dropped out because of a technical problem during the connection between the earth and moon as he said it. If you think about it (as Mr. Armstrong has said), without that little 'a' in there, it doesn't make any sense.
