I've found a lot of sites on the web that attribute that quote to GBS, but none that say when or under what circumstances he said it. But a related paraphrasing is "Aw, youth is wasted on the wrong people!", by the grumpy old man on the porch in It's a Wonderful Life , when George doesn't kiss Mary quickly enough. |
