: " TWO SIX Heave" is supposed to be a nautical term for preparing to pull using a group of men. : JM From the days when each man of a gun's crew was given a number. It was the job of Number 2 and Number 6 to heave the gun back throuh the gun port in preparation for firing after it had been loaded. |
