: I'm wondering if this is the equivalent of a malproism but for a phrase. It reminds me of a friend's elderly mother who used to scream "Suck gravy pig!" at people whose driving she didn't like. It was all the more comical because she was tiny and had to sit on a phone book to see over the steering wheel.(Which probably isn't legal, come to think of it.)

: Anyway, it turned out she'd watch Saturday Night Live - back when it was well written, obviously - and had got the phrase "Die you gravy-sucking pigs", hopelessly confused.
